Today, I have my homework done (class started this week), and I don't have to be at work until 5. Home alone with the cat and a barrel of coffee. What's a girl to do?

Obviously, when it's me considered there is only one option. Edit edit edit. When I don't have other people to edit I pop the camera onto a stack of books and take self portraits.

When I get tired of the standard selfie I think, "Hmm, what can I do with Photoshop?" The answer: whatever I want.

Below is the breakdown of what images I took to get the final piece puzzled together. What did I want from the picture?

1. Elegant and gravity defying torso, legs, arms, and hair.

2. a cute dress

3. back lighting

4. some sort of pedestal to separate me from the clutter in my bedroom

I cleared off my desk, tossed on a dress, and made sure I took a decent photograph of every important element of the picture.

Once I had the images combined I cropped and cloned out the junk in the room.

Simple.
