More new light

THIS is my amazing new bedroom. All of these are just me sitting on my bed with one window off to the side.

They're all edited with the Mextures App (obviously), Photoshop & Lightroom.

You can barely tell that I keep slightly missing the focus on these self portraits. SIGH. But I can tell. I'll work harder next time, guys.

Last boudoir shoot of the year

This was an amazing shoot.

I know that I say that often, but every time I do a shoot it becomes my new favorite. This especially holds true when the subject has amazing hair and goes all out shopping for her wardrobe.

Even though about 90% of people prefer their photos in color she and I agreed these had to be black & white.

This shoot was an in-home affair which I love because I get to meet pets. I love pets. I think I was a pet photographer in another life.

Alis: Part II

I had the amazing opportunity to go to Alis Fashion Design and use one of her amazing gowns (and her studio) for a self portrait session.

These really are my favorite shots that I've done in awhile. Apart from the dress being amazing, I took extra time making sure I got all the shots I wanted since I would likely only be shooting in the dress this one time.

I've still been using Mextures for my texture needs. Although, lately I've been going a little more heavy-handed with the editing. This set I found myself doing that because the dress and room I shot in were both white, and it looked a bit stark without the texture/film look.

After a very difficult week, it was great to be able to edit all of these to escape it all.
