This weekend I took way too many pictures. I did nothing but take pictures and edit. Here's a shoot with Devon who is hilariously another girl who claimed to not be photogenic.
The Blue Russian Scarf
If you all remember, up to now my photography obsession has been my red skirt.
If you'll believe it my Russian roommate has something equally amazing to use in photos. She has this gorgeous blue shawl/scarf.
And that was great, but what was also fascinating was how well Francesco and Asya photographed together. They are not, in fact, a couple. They could fool anyone.
Lastly, we have my roommate, Ashley, who is Hawaiian. I almost had to drag her out by her hair to get her to be in front of a camera.
Photo Club begins again
School started this week, and you know what that means...photo club. School be darned let's wander Rome with our cameras like tourists and take pictures of each other and lie in the road.
This first one is Krystal. She's the first person I've photographed who was happy to pose herself.
This is Alina who is fascinatingly diverse by all the languages she knows and countries she's lived in. She told me she wasn't photogenic. Clearly she's crazy.
Here's Francesco who is maybe a familiar face. If you can see his face under his new hipster hair/beard. He's still a pro. What can I say?
Aaand this is Owen. After I took these shots I forgot that he wasn't actually hardcore, and he started laughing and joking again, and it threw me off. He's really a character, and a decent actor since he fell so easily into this role.
All in all, I just really loved photographing all of these guys. I think having photos taken of me gave me a lot of insight into how to take photos of other people. Plus, apparently all photographers at JCU are extraordinarily attractive.
Charleston, SC
This week I've been in Charleston, SC visiting my friend, Rachel, who I met while she studied abroad in Rome. The food in this city is so amazing, the people were perfectly charming, and it was a great last week of summer before returning to Rome for school.
This is Bonbon. We met him in an art gallery on King St. The second I walked in I was scared half to death by this toycup-pig looking cuddler. I couldn't resist hanging out and taking pictures of him and his lovely owner.
Above are some self portraits from my walk around the coast. Below is my friend, Nicole.
Most of the shopping and galleries seem to be around King st. which is where we walked down to do an impromptu shoot of the Frenchie and also the below shoot of Rachel. We took these photos in Urban Outfitters...
and a random cafe we wandered into.
Nicole, Rachel, and I visited the famous Angel Oak tree in Charleston. Used this opportunity for a small shoot.
Random passer-by skater
Last (but my favorite) I photographed Taylor (Snay). She was such an adorable model. This was the only "real" photo shoot I did, and this girl was such a sweetheart.
That's all from Charleston! I'm back in Rome now so there will be new pictures from Rome coming soon.
