Photo composites with light bulbs

Today is exactly 17 days from when I will be jetting out of this country and moving to Rome for a couple years (during the school year at least). With that, the holiday season, and work I have nearly no time for photography. Quite sad but tides should be turning when I'm abroad and not working.

I took today off from work to go to Chicago. A few iPhone glitches later plans got delayed until next Monday. However, this left Tori and I at the apartment without a thing in the world scheduled. I decided I would try to recreate a photo I had seen which I now cannot find for the life of me.

Anyway! Here was my stab at it.

Tori

I almost shoot exclusively in my bedroom on the desk these days. It's too cold in Illinois to go outside, and the lighting is basically unbeatable.

Tori and I haven't done pictures in awhile (gasp), and we were due. My favorite is the first. It just seems like someone ought to make a movie based off of that image.

Today, I have a fun video to add to my normal spiel. I did a video at random during the shoot, and she thought we were still just taking pictures.. This is exactly what shooting with her is like.

Christmas Card

So, I'm sitting in my living room with Tori like we do every Friday night, and somehow we got on the topic of Christmas cards. She suggested that we make a joint one from us. An hour later I've got it all done and sent to my printing company.

Such is the life of a photographer :)

Thanksgiving

Like many Americans I spent today with my family eating and hanging out. This year is the first time I actually brought my camera and snapped a few pictures. I thought it might be nice to have pictures since I'll be in Italy for at least the next two Thanksgivings. Bitter sweet.

Without further ado, here are my fabulous relatives.

I call this above block of photos The Intellectuals. Every picture in there looks like someone's learning something about science or something.

And, of course, I am thankful for all those who were there today. I know I missed a couple people, but I'm thankful for them, too!
