Jamison's Senior Pictures

This week Jamison and I went out and took half of her senior pictures (we are doing her sports themed ones later on). Since we both are from a little farm town, and because I've had good experiences photographing people with hay bales, we spent some time on a farm. Later we went to a lake for some more fun shots.

Definitely my favorite images from a senior shoot thus far!

The Perfect Face

I have long been interested in ways to improve beauty with Photoshop. What can I say? I might abuse it for selfish reasons. Anyway, I read somewhere that the left half of a face is more likely to be your "better half".

I had to test this out, of course.

I have Photoshop, and I have a picture of my face where I am almost perfectly straight-on at facing the camera.  So, first, I duplicated my left half and placed it over my right half. Then, I did the same with the right. I'll let you determine for yourself which you think is more attractive of the three; the original, the left/left, or the right/right.

However, I think it's clear that the second image [EDITED: I am referring to the second image in this blog post which is the left/left] is significantly more attractive. I found this fascinating. Let me know what your reaction is in the comments....:)

Stylized shoot with Tori

This week Tori and I had planned a very detailed shoot to be executed Saturday.  Everything was aligned perfectly until we arrived at the location and it was unbearably hot.

We still managed to do a mini shoot (about 15 minutes) later on because we had spent so much time getting her hair, makeup, and props done. Here are some highlights from that time we spent out there.
