I went to visit Loretta on the Big Island. This was the final trip my Canon 60D ever took as I dropped it into a river and broke it. That camera got me through 10 years of photography, and while it was my comfort place I cannot imagine going back. I upgraded to a Sony AR7iii which is a gorgeous mirrorless camera.
This trip was 10 days long, but the camera only lasted two or three days. Such is life.

Once we were roommates in Rome, and Ashley and I have stayed as close as sisters since then. I had a short but sweet trip to visit her on Oahu in December and meet her baby boy. Three full days exploring the island and taking as many pictures as possible. Photos of Ashley were taken by me and photos of me were taken by Ashley.

In December, Ale Vidal hosted an evening where she unveiled her newest short film, The Painting. It was hosted at The Wildflower, and it was such a special night with sensory experiences and a beautiful array of local artists.
